Knife Skills Class

Join us for a Hands-on Knife Skills Class and Meal. This will be a great opportunity to learn about different kitchen knives, safety and care, and why and how to use them. You will enjoy a tasty meal prepared using many of the methods we will discuss in class. This will be a hands-on class. Please bring your own sharp knives to practice with. If you don’t have all of the knives listed below, no worries! You can observe and decide if you need to add that knife to your collection!

We will discuss the use of the following knives:

  • Chef’s
  • Santoku
  • Cleaver
  • Carving
  • Serrated/Bread
  • Boning/Filet (flexible blade)
  • Paring
  • Cheese

Note: The best way to safely travel with knives is to wrap them in a towel and place in a durable cloth bag.

If you are not well practiced using knives, we highly recommend purchasing Cut Resistant Gloves and bringing them to class. They are available here:
